Senior Assistant Headteacher - Scott Versace
After qualifying with a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) from Australia in 1995 I spent a few years teaching in both state and private schools before travelling to the UK in 2002. I have taught in both primary and secondary settings in the UK and moved to Reading in 2004 to take up a teaching position at Phoenix College (then Reading Alternative School).
Since gaining QTS in 2006 I have taught Physical Education, Maths, ICT, Business Studies and Humanities at Phoenix. I have also been a form tutor for the past 13 years and have enjoyed seeing my students grow and develop within themselves. Most recently I have taken on the role of Senior Assistant Headteacher to continue to do what I can in helping the school and students progress.
Outside the school environment, my family of six spirited individuals (not including our family dog) enjoy spending time in nature, being active and getting creative whenever we get a spare moment from our busy lives, ideals I endeavour to bring into my life at Phoenix also.
